<p>Hi there, and thanks for visiting my own little piece of cyber space! I don't really know what to write about myself, so I will just start from the beginning!
</p>

<p>My name is Danika Leigh Lindsell (more commonly known as Nika to my friends and family) and I was born on the 9th December 1987 in Chelmsford, England.
Just for the record, all birthday gifts are welcome...Only joking. I can hope though! I moved to Perth, Western Australia with my Mum, Dad and younger sister just before
my 7th birthday and I still live there now! I generally follow the usual "budding young artist story" - I have been drawing pretty much since I could master the
use of a pencil and loving every minute of it. Like most little girls I have wanted to be a nurse, a vet, a beautician and all those other 'phases' - but I have
always wanted to be an artist. All I can say about that is that I am so unbelievably grateful for having such a fantastic family! They have always given me their guidance
and full support in my artistic endeavours, which has consequently led to where I am today - a young artist running her own business and living her dream. So family;
Thankyou so much for everything you have done for me! I may not say it often enough, but I truly couldn't wish for a better family, and I wouldn't change you for the world.</p>

<p>Unfortunately I wasn't blessed with superhuman artistic talents at birth, so I learnt to draw the same way most people do. My Mum taught me everything that she
knows, and when the time came around I learnt the rest at school. I studied TEE Art all the way through High School where I had the best art teacher ever! (you know who you are...)
After graduating High School in 2004, I then studied Graphic Design at TAFE for 2 years - finally earning my Diploma of Graphic Design in 2006 (and I would strongly
recommend this course to any art students leaving school who are unsure of <i>exactly</i> what kind of artistic career they want). I learnt alot at
TAFE; not only in artistic technique, but also which direction of art I wanted to follow. I decided that Illustration was definately the path for me and running my
own business was an added bonus - so that was my sole goal after leaving TAFE. And here I am now!</p>

<p>Outside of art, my other great love is reading. I am a total bookworm and would happily devour an entire fantasy novel in a day or 2 if left to my own devices!
Then there are my other obssessions... Dragons (my room is full of hundreds of dragon ornaments and books, as is my artwork), the colour purple (hence the website
design), chocolate (my ultimate weakness!), all things fantasy (who doesn't like a bit of magic?) and many, many more things. But the list is just too long to write 
here - it would send you into a mind-numbing coma.</p>

<p>So there you have it, a brief overview of me and my life up to present day. As for the future, I just want to be happy and successful in everything I do. That may
be a big call to make, but it's not going to stop me from trying!</p>
