Innocence is bliss....drawing it is not. A new one for the zodiac series, and this one is for all the sweet-natured, innocent, lovely Virgos. (Ha! You're not fooling me, any of you!). Admittedly, I find drawing animal characters alot easier than people, so this one was a bit of a struggle bit I think I came through with the goods in the end. Oh, and just for reference sake the wings do not make her an angel, but she is supposed to represent "angelicness" (truly, I make some of these words up!)

...and while I'm on the subject of sweet, lovely people - I received my delivery of eyeshadows from LimeCrimeMakeup.com today and I am thrilled to bits with them! However, I was even more thrilled when I read the little handwritten note inside the package from Xenia (the creator of the makeup) telling me that she had stashed a couple of extra colours in there for me, free of charge, just because she felt like it. How nice is that?! She's truly made my day with such a small, but kind gesture. It's a habit we should probably all pick up and use a little more often - random acts of kindness. I wonder if she is a Virgo....

Anyway, that's my feelgood story for the day! Now go, smile at a stranger! Make someones day!

These Wednesdays are really starting to sneak up on me, y'know! Luckily for me I have no social life whatsoever, leaving me plenty of time to gawp over all the interesting things I've seen and heard of this week! What would you do without me?

Things I ♥ this week:

HARRY POTTER. Well, that's not exclusively something I love this week...I love Harry Potter every bloody week. But the movie is coming up soon and I'm uber-excited. Just praying to the gods that they do the book justice, because this story was a damned good one! It's been so hard for me, I'm the only one in my house who has read the Half-blood Prince and I'm banned from discussing it at risk of spoiling the movie for the others. *sigh* Muggles eh, can't live with 'em.

The baby elephant born at Taronga Zoo on Saturday! My heart just melted when I saw it on the news...it's just adorable!! Go look and gush ---> TarongaZoo.com

The Letter Bomb Project. I stumbled across this group on Myspace and just had to share it! It's a project that gives, just for the sake of giving. You enter your address into the registry and they send out random nice things to you in the post, because there's nothing nicer that receiving a real letter addressed to you in the post that is not a bill, right? Yesterday was a very special day...it just so happened to be International Bobby's 1st Birthday. Truly! Well, maybe there was no international in it, but it was his birthday none-the-less. Bobby (I know you're wondering) is my absolutely adorable little cousin, with a killer grin that's gonna be wooing the ladies from the moment he starts school.

To celebrate we (by we, I mean Mum, Teagan and I - I'd like to take all the credit but i won't!) made him a birthday cake! Well...we made a birthday cake that was mostly eaten by us. lol. Anywho, after the great success of my rainbow cupcakes (see here!) we decided to make a bigger, better, more rainbowy cake in the shape of a teddy!!! It wasn't easy, I'll admit....it did take a wee bit longer than we had originally planned but we got there in the end - and my did it look (and taste) good! But you're just going to have to take my word for that because unfortunately some idiot (stop looking at me like that...) has lost the cable to connect the camera to the computer. Hence, no photos yet. But I'm working on it...stay tuned!

In the meantime, being Illustration Friday and all I thought I'd treat you to Bobby's birthday card. I'm going to adapt this to a general birthday card too me thinks. Hope you like!
