What a coincidence, an illustration posted on Illustration Friday! Who would've thunk it after last weeks bizarre time-travelling occurence! *ahem*

Well here we have another of the zodiac series. This one's for all of you well-balanced, level headed Librians (and some of the clumsy, crazy ones too!). I realise some of you were expecting Taurus this weekend, but the little cow was giving me some hassle when it came to poses - that, and my Mum's Libra and she bullied me into doing it next....No, Mum, please not the broom again!!! (I'm only kidding of course, I love my Mum to bits, she's absolutely wonderful and only beats me with broomsticks occassionly.) So, without further ado, I give you Libra - The Scales!

Since I've started the astrology theme in my art, I though it made sense to tell you my own starsign. I'm a Sagittarius, the centaur archer... the sign that symbolises adventure, travel, athleticism and physical prowess. Yeah I know, I nearly died of laughter too.

Anyway, this post isn't about how unlike I am to my stereotypical starsign traits - this post is about my birthday! Now don't panic, it's not sneaking up on you any time soon - being a Sagittarius also means I'm a December baby (December 9th to be exact, jot that down!). The reason I'm letting you know this is because every year I hear the same old story..."Danika, your birthday is always so close to Christmas and I just never know what to get you! " . Well no longer! I have a cunning plan to solve this problem. As my birthday is now less than six months away (and approaching at a phenomenal rate, I might add) I am going to post a list of things every week that have caught my eye. This list will include stuff that I would not only love to receive as a gift, but things that I think you might find interesting too!

I'm not going to promise you this will always be on a Wednesday (see previous post...*ahem*) but it will be as close as damned! These "things" could be anything....funny, cute, sparkly, quirky and maybe even useful (although that's unlikely if I'm interested in it) ! Who knows, you might even find something you like!

Technically it's not on my wishlist because I couldn't restrain myself any longer and have already ordered one of almost every colour....but I will run out one day! So, I hereby declare this the first Wickedly Wonderful Wednesday. Take note peeps, and why not start your very own wicked list? Everybody likes stuff....what stuff do you like?

There I was, sitting in my comfy armchair munching away on some chocolate and watching 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button'. You know that movie, the one where the guy is born old and his life progresses backwards...he gets younger while everyone else ages. Fantastic movie, if a little unbelievable....or so I thought. So anyway, there I'm sitting enjoying myself, thinking about posting my new illustration once the movie ends when all of a sudden there's this bizarre ticking noise. I glance up at my clock and see the hands spinning wildly around the face anti-clockwise! Time was flying backwards, Friday was becoming Thursday, then Wednesday and suddenly I was two days in the past. It was then I found myself unable to post my brand new illustration for you all to see because it was no longer Friday! What are the chances?!

And so, there you have it. A perfectly logical reason for delayed artwork...and you thought I was just slacking. Ha.
